The Maverick is powered by a 2L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 250 horsepower and 277 lb.-ft of torque, which is sent to the wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. A hybrid version is also available on the front-wheel drive Maverick with a 2.5L 4-cylinder that makes 162 horsepower mated to a CVT transmission, with the electric motor the horsepower increases to 192. The Maverick is available in front-wheel and AWD as a SuperCrew with a 4.5-foot box, three trims are available XL, XLT and Lariat. The basic XL trim comes with automatic LED headlights, 17-inch steel wheels, wi-fi hotspot, manual locking tailgate, power door locks, 2 USB ports, Ford's SYNC infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, rearview camera, pedestrian detection alert, and forward collision mitigation.
